TRANSFORMING STUDENTS’ LEARNING THROUGH DE PROGRAM

To get Education, is the birth right of every child and to ensure the same, AIF, with collaboration with government schools and support from Punjab & Haryana government, came up with a revolutionary program, DE program; integrating technology with course curriculum to enhance students’ learning capability, by building better understating of concepts and emphasizing on the practical aspects of the course being taught.

    Implementation of DE program in schools has touched lives of millions of students across the country, promoting conceptual understanding, eagerness to learn new things. It has not only motivated the teachers to play the role of a facilitator but has also motivated the students to think beyond the four walls of classroom. Students gained confidence with PBL techniques and started participating in the activities. 

Kashish, Student of Saarthak GIMSSS, Sector 12, Panchkula was benefitted from the program Financial Literacy. Like all, he also lacked knowledge in financial matters and also had no interest in the same because of subject’s complex nature. To overcome the issue, the modules of TEFES are designed such that students enjoy learning complex concepts with ease, with the use of videos and practical activities. After the program for financial literacy was introduced in the school, Kashish enjoyed the activities and gradually generated interest in the subject. He was so much influenced by the program that he made his family and other members of his village aware about the financial literacy. He taught them the basics of finance so that they don’t get exploited by the literate masses.

DE program has not only influenced the lives of students but has also made a difference in enhancing the overall personality of the teachers too.
